Yeah James getting there, just dies and brass to go, it is a Boyd’s Pro Varmint style, laminate covered by textured black paint if some description. Need to get some bedding compound and might fit some pillars as well. Then the fun bit can be started Image

Get that done and all that will be left is to run a reamer for a decent sized case 6/284, 6/06 or 240 into it load some 55grs somewhere above 4200fps and you will be done.
Off course you could always load the 100+gr to 3400 or so and probably wouldnt need the rail, less than 20moa at 1000y with a 200y zero and 2"scope height.

Probably not if the correct part is ordered(by either you or the goose at the shop). I have 2 howa actions, 1 has a rail and 1 has 2 seperate mounts but both take weaver style rings and both make full contact between the action and bases.
The mini may be different though.

Sold as 20 moa rail for Howa 1500/Weatherby Vangard, being the same action I would have thought they would get it right, I will just do a rail bedding job, or it will probably be something like a 40 moa rail and end up with not enough adjustment. I knew there was a difference in heights of action rings, but would expect them to guild it properly.

Send dg a pm and ask him. He has built 1000yd br guns from howa actions so he will know this stuff.

Or you could take my expert advice. I don’t think a gap under the rail is a good thing
