armsandammo.com are willing to ship to Australia or were last month.
500 for $95US+ $40USshipping. My calculation bring that in as about $150AUD or $30 per 100

Your post is good but its completly incorrect

I know because we bring out a seacon once a month

Your charges are close but you forget one thing, that frieght charge all up doesnt get distributed among the projectiles. Its distributed among the full container load which consists of scopes, rifles, reloading gear, Knives, slings, packs, glasses, gun cases etc etc. Do you really think that they bring in a container with just projectiles.

And grimo ya wanker, did I say Sierra projectiles, no I didnt, I said Leupold and Anshutz

I purchased a Annie 6 weeks ago, was $1395 from the dealer who isnt supplied by NIOA, Elks who are supplied by NIOA couldnt do that exact rifle for $1795. Why can I buy a Nightforce scope in Australia for a very similar price to the US, Why is Ziess scopes only about $100 more than the US price.

Why is my Leupold that turns up in a week $900 cheaper that the best price in Australiaand guess what, the people I got the scope from are not an Authorised Vendor, they just buys scopes like our dealers here, are you guys saying the people bringing in Nightforce, Anshutz and Ziess dont incur the same costs. Why is the ACCC investigating the Microsoft distributor in Australia for a %50 price jump to what US customers are saying. The ACCC have said that even with duties and costs etc etc, the price should not be that much.

You admin guys are in bed with NIOA, YOU SHOULD SEE MY PM's that I get laughing about how you guys jump when someone knocks NIOA.
yOU THINK i KNOW NOTHING, WE BRING IN ONE CONTAINER A MONTH FROM THE SATES WITH $300,000 WORTH OF SUPPLIES, AND THE DISTRIBUTOR CAN ADD HIS COSTS, WAREHIOSING ETC ETC AND STILL SELL THE STUFF AT A SIMILAR PRICE TO THE STATES..
THE DISTRIBUTOR HAS 38 PEOPLE WORKING FOR HIM, HAS TWO WAREHOUSES
THE DIFFERENCE IS HE HAS OPPOSITION
Rofl, okay i admit it. I only buy Nioa products and only ever recommend purchasing within Australia as i get a cut out of every referal. Well, actually i don't buy them it's given to me. Actually even thats incorrect. They pay me to use them, pay for my fuel when i go hunting, hell they even pay the costs associated with running the board. Im sitting here pretty because Mr Nioa thinks im just effing awesome and wants me to live the life of luxury. You should see my wall at home, its stacked floor to wall with Annies and Leupolds, i admire and recommend both those products so often the only way Nioa can continue giving them to me is to mark the prices up. It is infact, my wankerish "being in bed with Nioa" that is driving the prices up for every other shooter in the country.

Oh, hang on a minute, Aside from 1 rifle(CZ if you want to know) all my rifles were purchased second hand. And whats that, both the leupolds i own were sourced from TOZ, as are all my bipods and the bulk of my reloading gear comes from the sinclair catalogue. The other scope i own is a Vortex, as is the spotting scope.

Hmmmmm, seeing a trend here by any chance?

The reason i jump down your throat is because you're like a child. When things aren't the way you want them you cry the same old story over and over. This thread had NOTHING to do with leupold or Anshutz, it was about the price of SBK's. If you feel the need to degrade every thread into a Nioa bashing then of course i will comment on it, purely for the reason i'm done with your bitching. If it continues ill make it stop, bet your $900 dollar saving on it.

Do i care if people think i'm in bed with a company, absolutely not? The fact I can demonstrate having purchased each and every bit of gear i own, and that i don't have an endless supply of all things Nioa says to me you, and those suggesting i am, have your heads up your ass. If they want to PM you regarding my "in bed-ness" that's fine, i hope they appreciate the fact that if that were true, they are using a board "provided" by nioa to bitch about them. Oh the irony of ignorance.

So Trev, blow it our your ass, quite simply someone who works in shipping for a living has given you the reasons for the costs, you have demonstrated your lack of basic understanding and once again demonstrated your limited capacity for debate, by instantly reverting to your same old wolf cry and ignorance to facts as presented. Served up with a nice little dose of petty insult. If you feel you can import things cheaper, go right ahead. There isn't a shooter out there who will keep paying a higher price for a product if its available elsewhere for less. If you cant do that, stop bitching about it.

hmmmm, off to the range, Ill be the guy wearing the Nioa shirt, Nioa Cap, Nioa shoes, Nioa pants(and budgie smugglers to like to keep them close to whats important ya see) Nioa socks and Nioa Earmuffs. If you cant spot me ill be the guy unloading all the Annies topped off with Aus supplied Leuplods out of the Nioa emblazoned van. Just to sight them in ya know ;)

Brad Y wrote:I thought about the same thing with the leupold issue with the distributor there. Could there be the chance that we as a shooting group could petition the company directly saying how poorly thier products are represented here? Screw the middle man they seem to jack the prices each time we query it as we hand over some well earned. Why not go directly to the source and ask them to do something because of it.

I had a convo with the owners of creedmore sports when researching the 6.5 creedmore and told them that their product in australia was ridiculously priced and at the those prices id rather shoot 6.5x47 lapua they offered to send me anything i wanted at next to cost price direct to my mail box it seems the GFC is affected american businesses and the new export laws has taken even more income off them.
