Anyone use 85gr nosler bts in the 25-06? Also what do you think is the ideal scope for a more varmint than anything 25-06???

Yes used the 85 Nosler BT's for a few years they were very good only changed to V Max's because they were cheaper and more available. The Noslers were hard to get a lot of the time.

Scope for a varmit 25.06 I would not use less than a 4-12 and would suggest at 6-18 or 6.5-20 would be far better for long range work.

You have a few choices in the manufacturer with Leupold, Vortex & Weaver all making good scopes in this range. Thats not to say others wont do the job.

My advice value for money you still can't get a Leupold from The Optic Zone for a better price than Vortex Australia will give you on a 6.5-20 Viper, which would be ideal with say the BDC Dead Hold reticle.

I have a Burris 8-32x44 signature series which is not bad with target turrets so after i work up a load i think i will try working out a ballistics/trajectory table and see how reliable the turrets are otherwise i think a vortex may be the go....
