Re: 6 mm dasher
Ive redone my varmint gun to 6BR. Alot less stuffing about. Dasher will be done on a new f class/1kbr/fly rig. I see Rod Davies shot a 60.10 in the leadup to the national queens the other day with his dasher

Re: 6 mm dasher
105/107 grain bullets, 2208 & RE15. A long barrel isn't needed, 26" will work.. seen a couple at the Fly with that length barrel and I definitely saw one of these rifle take some wood home more than once. I had a Lawton dual port actioned dasher with 26" barrel, shot 87Vmax out of it and at a 300m fly match it put down a 0.801" group. I ran both BR rifle dashers with 28" barrels, reloader 15 from 33-34 grains and around the 3050fps. Mucking around for load development and checking pressure one ran the 105's to 3150fps with pressure, but not failure. The reamer I used had freebore of 0.125" and found it to be near perfect. This reamer also chambered the rifle which I believe holds the 500m small group.
If I were to do it again, I would go 28" barrel, no turn, 0.125"FB, no case prep, reloader 15, copperhead 103's.

Re: 6 mm dasher
If anyone is interested in getting into the dasher, Im contemplating selling my reamer, dies and a 30" maddco 1:8 twist HV blank. Going a different option now for the new f class rig.

Re: 6 mm dasher
I am running 3 Dashers at the moment, but have some other worn out dasher barrels for fire forming.
I am currently using a 10" twist with 87gn pills and an 8 and 7.8" twist with 105gn pills. The Dasher is a super accurate cartridge, low recoil, has a lot going for it, but cant comment on feeding from a magazine.
2206H is a great powder to use with pills from 87gn to 105gn. Not many people run 115s in Dashers, too much bullet for the case size. Though my barrels are 30" long (but set for a rechamber) , I agree with 28" being a good length to go with.
