Could try 52 grain Copperheads.

Thanks for info.
Having a look at some of the projectile specs, seems 1:9 would be a limited gain and 1:8 is required for a lot of the heavy projectiles. Had a lead on a 1:9 barrel but can't see the point in changing to it.

Right now in my LGS ... its cheaper to run custom made CopperHeads than mass-produced Nosler BTs.

I suggest 1:9 since a few factory offerings and shoot 69 nosler CCs. They are $192 per 1000 and shoot good. I have shot the nosler CCs in 30cal and they were very poor for hunting, but the 69s work a treat. Have them going at 3130fps.

What kind of load do you have to get them going at that mate?

I have a 1-10 twist, so they may stabilise, worth a shot at that sort of $$ anyways. How do they go on roos and the like?

I ran the 69gr cc's in my 22-250 , made a bigger mess than the super roos . Hollow point was very reliable , if you hit something it stayed hit . I had a 1:9 barrel , I'd reckon if you could get 3000fps in a 223 they'd be awesome
