AFF .223 Brass

Was given about 1000 1 once fired AFF .223 Shells.. Can anyone tell me where they from and are they any good? Im guessing they old military?

If they are military I think the primers will be crimped in. I think you need a special tool/die to decrimp them.

Should be able to deprime with normal dies, just takes a bit of force. I have deprimed a heap of military 3006 brass & reloaded it ok.

It's not a lot of extra force to deprime them (as long as they are single flash hole) but it's best to remove the crimp before repriming them. RCBS primer pocket swaging dies do it best but cost about $80

hey kids have a read of this page on de-capping berdan primers
me i use the RCBS berdan de-capper, it works fine for me as most of my cases take berdan primers, it works so long as there no or minimal crimping
