Thanks fellas, have some 39g Blitzkings and 40g Nosler BT's to try though it's hard to go past the V-Max's for the price. Have also started stock piling 2206 though my local bloke reckons it will be available for most of thi year. Cheers Dugald

As long as it's stored properly, a very long time. I'm still using 4227 in a Hornet that was bought in the early 70's. Cheers Dugald

I used some 30yo 4895 in some once fired .308 rounds and they where as accurate as fresh 2208, no probs. I have also shot heaps of .243 rounds I had loaded about 30years ago, and they still shot under 2" moa in my whinnie before I rebarrelled to .308. No I didn't pull the projies and reseat or anything, and the .243 only shot that well 30y/ago anyway. Last 5 yrs stored in tin shed in Qld, not ideal but didn't seem to effect anything.Hope this helps,
Regards Alpal.

Ammo boxes dropped with the airbourne part of the invasion of Europe the landed in some of the flooded fields and have been dug up by french farmers over the years have working ammo in them.

Some of the boxed and wax sealled wooden crates are in perfect working order.
The clips can be loaded into the appropriate arms and fired straight from the box.
