6.5mm Dasher
6.5mm Dasher
Guys I am having a 6.5mm dasher built very soon and was woundering if just using 6mm BR cases that have been resized too 6.5mm and then fire forming them is the best way to go. If any one has any experiance getting cases ready for this callibre I would really appriciate and feedback.
Tasco wrote:Mate to be honest i havn't, the reason I am going to the Dasher is that I am so impresed with the 6.5BR but need a little bit more power at 500meters when shooting rams.
Here's the link to 6mmBR...

Kenny why are you not using a 6mm-30cal tapered expander to take em up to .30 in one step???Kenny wrote:Tasco,
I have no experience with the 6.5Dasher, but I have just necked up some Lapua 6BR brass to 6.5mm on the way to 30 cal with no probs.

I hvae runn about 10 cases through it to test it out and they all came out sweet.

Ogre,
I simply don't have one.....I guess you are talking about the Redding job
I use a Sinclair expander body with different mandrells for each caliber. I have not recieved the 30 cal one in the mail yet
it possibly could go from 6 to 30 in one pass but I won't know until I get it, I was just playing in the meantime
The Sinclair expander also matches their neck turning mandrell perfectly with no slop
