Im not sure if highland do it for their 243 ammo but I was using some 22-250 with seirra blitz kings last night. At 50m they put 3 shots into .5moa which is not too bad considering paralax and focus was a bit off at that distance. Might be worth an enquiry but I guess it'll just depend what your rifle likes most too.

Mate of mines looking into something cheap to run factory wise and i was just trying to see what people thought of the factory .243 stuff? Rem, federal and winchester make the bt stuff which would be pretty explosive especially in the 55gr range but as ive had no experience with it is there anyone that can give ab opinon on these rounds or are they over priced and should stick to say soft points, i see federal does a round with a seirra varminter projectile from memory its a boat tail soft point which i reakon would go alright!

If he is after cheap ammo for a varmint rifle mate then the 223 is the way to go!

Since you specified .243 factory ammo, you could try some of either the Federal Premium V-shock in 55gr of 70gr ballistic tip it would be a good varmint round but may not be cheap. Winchester also do a 55gr supreme ballistic silvertip and Remington do the premier accutip in 75gr and 95gr. All premium ammo with a price to match.

If you are willing to go to a 80gr projectile you have far better choices like the PMC bronze line in 80gr which I have used on hares and foxes and work really well. Also Winchesters 80gr SP superX load. Remington do a 80gr PSP and an 80gr power-lokt HP. Nearly every store will have some 80gr .243 ammo in stock and it's fairly cheap compared to the premium stuff.

Buy a few boxes and see what the rifle likes.
