guys a generous forum member has given me a handful of sierra .224 63gn sp and speer .224 70gn sp's to try before i buy !
anyone have any loads for heavyer projectiels in 22/250, hopefully the'll stabilise ?

Brad, what's your barrel twist rate? do you know?
Mines 1:12 and 60gr is about its limit, but stabilisation is as much about the length of the projectile as it is the weight, they both have a significant impact.
also I have a very nice little spreadsheet for calculating this, drop me a PM and I'll see if I can email you a copy, it takes into account weight, speed, twist rate and bullet length and gives you a stability calc, so far everything it said would be good in my 250 has been good and what its calculated as bad has been so, its seams very accurate.
