Dave I read a post WB243 put on 6br about the 20 practical and there was some comment from one of the US "experts" that there is more 'flex' in a turret frame press than an O frame. I have no personal experience but the thread wouldnt be hard to find.

Dave I use to use a Super Simplex turret press and the 270 shot under the inch with reloads from it. One of my mates has an RCBS? turret press. Well it is more like a progressive job. This bloke can shoot and he gets vey accurate loads of this. If you are going to bench rest then O frame is min requirement IMO. If it is for hunting loads then IMHO there is nothing wrong with a good turret press.

Dave

I have a lyman turret and its fantastic. Like you I was sick of changing out dies all the time. It also has an adjustable post that supports the outside of the turret to prevent the flex mentioned.

It currently produces loads for my .223 that puts 3 shots into groups that you can cover with a 10 cent coin at 200m. I also have an O frame and have noticed no diff between the two as far as accuracy is concerned.

I also mount my powder thrower on it which leaves more room on my bench.

I wont be going back to the O frame any time soon.
