Primer catcher for an RCBS Rockchucker Supreme

Post by Cammo »

EBay have 3D printed primer catchers for the Rockchucker Supreme to replace the inverted Y catcher. The catcher is enclosed and the spent primer goes down a hose into a bottle.

From USA they cost around $50 AUD plus $45 AUD postage, does anyone in Australia print them? I'd prefer to keep my $ here if possible and the postage is ridiculous.

I like the sound of spent
primers rattling around in the dyson

Add some excitement, try live primers.

One of my first jobs was at a car wash with and industrial multi-hose vacuum. Amazing how many loose rounds we collected.

A bit scary when you see half a dozen loose rim fire vanish up the nozzle to rattle through 10-15 metres of steel pipe before dropping into the steel drum.

Upside was that loose coins funded our Christmas party.

I have a file for one somewhere, I'll dig it out and print a couple for you to try if you want

If it's not too much of an ask, would you be able to make the following? If so, let me know a price as I suspect the die storage tray may use a fair bit of material.

I always thought that the floor did an acceptable job of catching them.

I can't remember one missing the floor - although I do remember standing on one or two in bare feet...

That last bit is what hurts, followed by Mrs Raven complaining when they go up the vac....

That'd be great and I'm happy to pay for the privilege.
Until then 'll have to stop wearing Crocs when reloading as the dropped primers play havoc when you walk.
