LGS doesn't stock and RDT hasn't been able to get it for the last 3 months. Safari usually has it but said was temporarily out of stock.
But who knows.
Was happy with RE23 in the 7mm mag and hoping the 280AI likes it.
Your Canberra area Dash? Who do you get it from?
Cheers
I get mine through Tough Gear. Picked up 2xRe22 and 1xRe25 on Saturday although I ordered 2xRe25 so they are getting another one in for me. I can ask tomorrow if you like?

Please do. That's a better drive then up to Sydney.
Thanks
Will do.

Grant Re26 is made by Nitrochemie of Switzerland. Re23 is made by Bofors of Sweden and is made using the TZ technology, as they call it, to make it extremely temp stable. A number of Alliant powders that are more well known like Re15 are now also treated in this manner but are not advertised as such??
Re26 is going to give you great speed but is not as stable as say Re23 or Re16. They have the very desirable characteristic of as the temp goes up, SDs and ESs go down.
It is no accident those using Re23 are winning a fair bit.

There is nothing wrong with Re26 at all. It will give you speed that 2209 and 2213 won't and so far i see better accuracy at range with it with considerably less pressure, another very desirable trait. But if you're up there with the pressure, you are going to get some spikes if the temps get up or the barrel runs hot. A lot of powders will do this. Only a few don't.
While Re16 and 23 may be the most stable out there at the minute, it needs to be understood, EVERY powder is temp sensitive to some extent.

Running Alliant or ADI powders in many cartridges over the years, i found spiking was always a product of ignition, not the powder itself. Since the primer is the source of ignition, it is good loading practise to test multiple primers. The number of times i see posts of the question asked why when i match cases, weigh every powder charge and bullet, do i still get irregular pressure spikes? It has to be the only component we can't control, the primer. It really pays to test multiple primers.

Thanks Rob.
Looks like no one was BSing this time. Good to know about Tough Gear though. Always good to have someone else to get Alliant from.
Cheers

Only other place I can think have that may have it in stock would be Braidwood outdoors.
Or another shop that sources through Winchester and hope that Winchester still have some stock left on hand.
