Does the Sierra Infinity Ballistics program contain or allow you to load the info for ADI Powders

trevort
Thanks for that
Terry
Hi mate, Infinity is not a reloading program, purely ballistics - it lists heaps of projectiles from different manufacturers or you can enter the parameters of your projectile if it is not listed. Enter muzzle velocity, atmospheric pressure, wind direction and speed, elevation etc etc and it will give you trajectory at the intervals you select along with wind deflection at all ranges. Minimum available is every 25 yards. It will also compute Max PBR using kill zones sizes that you can enter yourself. It is a very comprehensive program.

The reloading manual info on the disc is basically the same as their paper manual. Various powders using Sierra projectiles but it won't give external ballistic info, you need to use Infinity for that.

Zulumike, I have found point blank to be fairly accurate and it's free, also has adi powders, most projectiles by brand ,name (eg. v/max, a/max etc) and weight, with the bc of most listed as well.

Top Shelf Case Trimmer

Post by Werribee »

Has anyone gone the top shelf route and purchased the Wilson Trimmer, on the Sinclair stand, with the Sinclair micrometer adjustment for the trim set. Cost, last time I looked , was appx US $150. That was a while ago and the price sounds too low for what was to my totally unmechanical eyes, a really quality item.

I have the stand but not the micrometer. IMHO you dont need the micrometer. I cant read them anyway. All you need is a screwdriver and allen key to adjust. It can be part of our lesson when we catch up!

remeber you need a case holder for each calibre and some calibres need a different case holder for fired or unfired brass. Factor that into the price.

Ogre leant me the "benchrest Primer", a book made up of excerts from the "precision shooter" mag. The chapter I read on the train this morning was a letter the editor sent out to 20 of the top comp shooters with the hypothetical scenario of pretend your reloading room burned down and you have the insurance cheque to start again, what will you buy.

Nearly all went for the Wilson trimmer and most of the ones who dont use an arbor press were going for the RCBS rockchucker. Glad i have both.

Speaking of catching up, I have filled out the application for consent orders, it needs a lawyer to witness it, kill two birds with one stone??????
