I am confused.

A shooter, on a shooting forum who doesn't know everything there has ever been to know about shooting?

I can't say I've seen that before!!!

Ok, I have seen it before on this forum, but on some others? Not so much.

For dies I have the Redding type S match die set. Comes with neck bushing die, body die and micrometer seater.

As for the projectiles my reccomendation for LR comp would be the copper head 103s and that is after shooting the sierra 107s, custom comps in 105 & 107 and the Lapua scenar 105.
Camel wrote: Thu Mar 28, 2019 3:13 pm I have done a bit of reading, got a little worried when coming across mentions of 6mmBR Norma and 6mmBR Rem, but seems they are only slightly different in the chamber throat length, brass is the same, correct ??
Piccy of my cases and my dies....... they seem to work ok together

Yep 75 Vmax do carnage out of 1:8 twist as do 87gr vmax.
I take it you are doing some form of fast twist barrel.
I have used BM2 in my rifles with high accuracy to 600 yards. I know another member here who won a queens with BM2.
If you like wasteing time I can send you some different target pills that can also be effective on game if applied with accuracy to the right spot. Or you can listen to Tony, load what he said and be generally very very happy with the results. The 103 copperheads are the best pills I have used in 6mm other then perhaps a batch of Sierras that I think Mr Zubalj cornered the market on. I will have a dig through the bits and pieces and may be able to send you a few different pills to try.
cheers

I have used a 6 BR as a Varmint cartridge

Accurate as all get out and stacks em shot after shot

Make sure you buy a good quality reliable clicky windy type scope
With return to zero turrets and a good drop chart because the little cartridge has a trajectory not disimilar to a rainbow

Thanks macca, the barrel I am getting has been shot using 105 bullets, so I guess its a fast enough twist, not sure on what projectile to use, but Ruce has offered me a few different ones to try, will try keeping it simple, one bullet for critters and one for a bit of LR tgt and stuff, so thanks, I may be in touch.

The advice I have received over the last couple of days since I started this madness, has been amazing, I am very great full to everyone who has given freely of their time and effort. Thank you all, and don't worry, I will be along to haunt you all later on with more questions.

Yeah, will be looking around for something that is usually above my pay grade, still got a couple of wasted rifles just sitting in the safe that need relocation. :D

Single will do Con, thinking very seriously of making that permanent , I should be able to fill the opening on the bottom of the action with the old stick welder.

Camel,
I'd call you weird, but I've been trying to think how to do that to a Stevens 200. For varmints and punching holes, I like the single shots. I'm dirty on myself not grabbing a Savage target action when they were available. Then you could screw on/off 1" straight piped barrels and just play!!
Cheers...

Get your gunsmith to machine a load plate or a solid topped hollow magazine.
