Alas, they were supposed to be shipped last month, to MidwayUSA for their premiere, but production difficulties have slowed them up, according to my spies in Utah (I have spies everywhere :D , including their " Barnes Advisory Council").

That, and their reputation for being "iffy" in the accuracy department, along with a shocking price, for their purposes, has me taking a long look before buying any. In fact, I'm gonna let some of the other guys on the .204um try them before I buy any. I was the "first one" to buy Nosler 40BTs for the .204um, I'll let someone else be "first" this time. I'm a tightwad, anyway :D :D .

My rifle doesn't much care for the heavies, period, but it shot the NBT a good deal better than 40 VMaxes. I think I have one of the 12.5" twist barrels :(
At 200 yards, it would shoot 1 1/4", not too bad with ME behind the trigger, I can't shoot worth a crap at that distance any more. I think it's time for some real glasses.......

I really do hope Barnes can get the problems sorted out with those VGs, as I know some real shooters out in California, who'll have to do without shooting if they can't come up with lead-free bullets.

that was my experience in the ruger VT, the new one will have a 1 in 10 twist so i will try both 40s and the 39 to see what it likes. I bought 400 50 bergers, talking myself into a 20br or ppc, will see if the 1 in ten can stabilise them
