So if no one buys this 243 I have a lowball/backstop offer in. Genuinely hope someone buys it.
So then I start to think what to do with it and think of the 6.5x47l case and the small primer biso and then it occurs to me that if you neck 308 palma down to 243 you have a big big 6x47l. And if you ai the chamber then forget the case stretching issues and hey, hold on, that really really would be a big big 6x47l

So what is wrong with this theory?
no you don't you have a 243 cheetah but i will stand corrected on this
I am playing with something similar, I got from TZ. Take a std Lapua 308 case, Shorten ever so slightly, so you get a neck length of a 6BR when you resize the neck to 6mm. Take 6BR reamer, and sink in till the new case chambers, presto 6 TicTac he called it. Load with 103gr Copperhead and 47.5 gr of 2217 and you have 3450FPS. No pressure, low flame temp, should give good barrel life, and good case life.
Yes i believe the TicTac with Re 19 and the 103 Copperheads was getting over 3400 fps with no pressure signs in a 30 inch tube. That's still 3250 fps in a 24 inch tube. The only other 6mm they reckon is worth owning for 1K BR besides the 6 BR with groups around the 1 inch mark at 6oo yds. I believe the Diamondback has now been sold to some sheep farmer in Vic but back in its original 6BR configuration .
Shame it never saw a 1K match.
