bumping an old post, but...

My 22-250 loads are,

55gn Nosler Ballistic tip over 39gn of W760 or
50gn Nosler Ballistic tip over 37gn of W748 or
40gn Nosler Ballistic tip over 40gn of W748 (4260fps, who needs a 17rem?) caution VERY hot load
CCI large rifle primers in all of them.

works for me.

Mate how flat are your primers? I'd love to see a fired case after that load

460wby bunny shooter wrote:mate, 35gr of 2208 and any 55gr pill and you will probably find it will touch holes at a hundred. on a lighter note ive worked up a bunny load for the 378wby 118g ar 2225 with 300gr sp hopefully with that ill still be able to take some nice skins
If you're not worried about the skins you should try the 220 gr hornady (or Taipan) in the 378. You should get 3400+fps out of that gun easy. And if you run it through a ballistics programme you'll notice it shoots alot flatter than a 223 too! BC. of .217 and 5600 foot pounds of muzzle energy................ NICE Trust me it removes the finger prints!
