I will have to give this one a go, and see how they perform on game.

Sorry mate, 155gn Dyer HBC's (dyslexic fingers)

Gday camel out to around a k the 180-240gr 30's hit hard enough to bail over most pigs n goats with one hit as long as its not in the bread box or leg, and under 300 m your pretty guarantied to place a shot anywhere you want  the 180-190's are traveling at 3020fps.
In my carry hunting guns I use only "hunting type" projectiles which include solids and most shots stay under 300 m
and my Lr hunting guns I use only match type pills mainly amaxes, smk n scenars in 6mm, 308, 338 n 375.

Gday Keith, what do you mean the projectiles aren't reliable? e.g. if shots are placed in the same place they act/expand differently or they are less forgiving if the shot strays a bit? also I have never shot .264's 140gr smk at anything so I can't comment on em, but most 6.5mm i've heard are pretty devastating  n my 6.5x55 is testimony enough for me

All the best

Blimey, I wasn't expecting that sort of damage. Reminds me of an 6mm 87 v-max exiting a roo.
I got some 155 hbc loaded up in Mexican Match ammo for F-Class, going at 2900 fps. Looks like it might double as a hunting round also. :D

Thank you for posting the picture Mick.

Haha well I did say "explosive" on wild dogs.....

You wont be disapointed with the HBC's mate, obviously they have to be put in the right place, like all projectiles. But they are the only projectile I use in my 30-06 unless out for Buffalo.

168-178 AMAX will be my goto for hunting in the .308 (fox to fallow). The SMKs seem a bit harder to me and are not as reliable.
