new Zombie max bullets

Post by andrewk »

I just picked up a thousand zmax bullets this arvo and i must admit i feel like a kid with a new dumptruck. pulled open the packet in the car, raced home and reloaded a round.

gotta hand it to hornady for marketing hype.

Pure advertising genius

I was hopeing Hornady would bring out 40 gr z-max in 20 cal but then I got 4300fps with 34gr Nosler shots so I reckon if I held my mouth right I should nearly get 4400fps with those.

By the way nice pic Andrew but you covered up the price

New anything is gutsy. Bright yellow tip is different. Do they differ at all in specs from the vmax? Is the 32 a boat tail or flat base like the 32 vmax? Havent loaded any 32gr projectiles for my 204, had 40gr nosler bt now got some 39gr bk's to try like everyone else.

I bought a few boxes of 308W recently, more for gimmick value than anything.

Some US 'experts' say these are the same as the VMax.

Has anyone seen any 12G ZMax yet?

Well just ordered 1000 50gn .224s. Apparently they only come in BT but thought they came in flat base too so hope they go ok. My rifle seems to like 50gn flat base but I'm sure if they don't work I can sell them on. I also ordered the new 10 shot billet T3 mag they are getting in so will do a review once I get it.

Cheapest I could get the pills here was 35c pick up and these will be under 21c posted! Provided they shot looks like I could have my hummer up for sale soon..... Just a rough sum I think I could have a total cost for using my brass at about 29c/shot. Gotta be happy with that!
