Townsville Results 30-6-18

Post by justjeff »

Guys,

Results from the weekend, TZ put down a nice group at 600yd, bodes well for Narromine. Some vertical in the morning shoot due to conditions.

well done TZ

jeff you didn't dwell on it, but it seems obvious the conditions were far from friendly for both the 600 and 1000.

IMHO IBS LRBR is still the most challenging game to play.

see ya all next month.

cheers

Dave,

I, and others, are testing for Narromine, so it's hard to read what is going on. I had a neck clearance issue, so will see how next shoot goes. Al seems to have things sorted, TZ has another projectile to try. All good fun. I will say I am the first to destroy 2 8 x 68 cases in one match, 73.5 g rl23 behind 187 is tooooo much, the primers just fall out.

Thanks Dave. The 636 is 82 rounds old now. The pair of 3s were shot with Inbreds and are far from driver friendly where it was exceedingly difficult to judge the drift or rise in the pick up or drop off. The old SMKs shot the 1 and 2 inch groups and are as always very driver friendly and could be steered into the center while holding a better water line in the switching winds. Mirage was horrid and could have one thinking it split the group. Maybe, but sighter placement and both near identical outcomes have me discarding this bullet.

Next match will see the Copperheads from 2012 head to head with the BIB 104s Jeff graciously gave me. They both measure awesome where i reckon one of the two will see Narromine.

Pic below shows clearly the two bullets reaction in the same wind. Inbreds are pen stroked and shot first.
