I'd go whichever one has the ranging reticle. I like Illuminated reticles as well.

Im a tight arse and would go for the cheapest. In that price range and quality range any of those will work. My 20 practical has a 4-16x40 SF bushnell elite 4200 and its perfect for spotlighting. It would be nice if it did have illuminated crosshairs but didnt miss a shot with it the last 3 trips out.

I take it your buying from OS.

You missed one.. Nighteater....

How about the Weaver 3-15X50 Tactical? If your shooting out to 500m with a 20cal, I'm guessing small critters.. and I think you'll want to dial in. Tactical style turrets are a must I feel! Zero stop and mils wont matter, as you will be staying up 10MOA in elevation. You cant get lost in that! Looking at the pict on the Weaver site, looks like a one revolution has 10MOA. Everything you need in one turn!

Also, I am curious to see what these are like?

No.. I ment Nighteater... the natural yellow of the optics would be great under the spotlight for added night vision...... I hate them.. I was paying him out!

I found a link to the weaver with some pictures. It is different to what they show on their website.

14MOA in a turn... and they do have a zero stop I think!

Trev, the 56mm with an IR gives a slight advantage for spotlighting. If you find a conquest reticle you like they are a good scope.
I'd personally get aNF BR in a good reticle and be happier, but that's just me.

Well I really want the Illuminated reticle, they are so so good with the spotlight. But I also (as Trev mentioned) really want the target turrets as I do need to dial in the drop, and you cant with normal turrets (well not as easy). Not impressed with Varmint style reticles as they vary so much calibre to calibre and then if your loads are different that also throws you out, plus with a wildcat your much worse of.

Who know how good the Falcon glass is, if its as good as Leupy VX3 and Ziess conquest then that may be just the go.

Trev, are nighteaters any good.

Trev,

There is nothing wrong with the quality of the glass in Hakko scopes although I would be cautious about clamping one to a Magnum or anything above a .308.

I am not sure if you have ever looked through one but if you ever get the chance have a look through one of the Old Lymans. I have two and they are the clearest scopes I own and would be on par with my Pecar and S&B.

I currently own and have owned several other Hakko scopes. They are good but they aren't in the class of NFand definetly not up to a Zeiss conquest scope. The real Euro's leave them a long way behind in low light and some have repeatability issues when tracking.
