time to choose but what?

Post by aussie »

the new f-class is nearly finished, so it's time to get some glass. cannot afford the real expensive ones
so it's basically down to: leupy vx3 6.5-20x50
weaver target 24x
bushnell 6500 4.5-30x50

has anyone used any of these out to the 1000yd mark with reliability in tracking?
any comments would be apreciated thank you

With a high magnification fixed power ,the mirage will kill you.!!
Try a variable,Vortex comes to mind.

save longer and get the Nightforce 12-42 BR model..... you'll be happier in the long run!

I have a Bushnell 4200 and its a very good scope, very good turrets, really well made and very good glass. 6500 is a step up so I would certainly choose one of them.

But it isnt that much more for the Nightforce

Vortex are good scopes but they arent in the Nightforce and 6500 league, plus they are still a little limited in the model availability.

The Weaver 24 wont let you down and has arguably the best adjustments around. The Leupold 6.5-20 has no advantage over the Vortex Viper except a higher price and the Bushnell will do the job.
Save for the NF its worth it.
