Basic Front Rest Design

I have spent the last few hours playing around with a basic front rest design. It is adjustable in height from 120mm to about 250mm.
I have modelled it up in Solidworks and will place an order with the lasercutters later on in the afternoon. I am also making a jig up to ensure that everything will be nice and square.
If there is any interest in it I can have a few made up. I could provide either a "flat pack" to be assembled by yourself (you would need a welder) or have it finished off including powder coating.
I may also produce some basic plans for it aswell.
As always, comments are always welcome.

I would be interested also. I need to buy one very shortly and have been looking at a variety of different models
Maybe one of the benchrest gurus could advise what is desirable in a front rest. I see all sorts of designs with flat bottom plates
And joysticksn would love to know what difference they make.
The only comment i have for the current one is the legs look like they are at a high angle
Which might cause a flat pack shipping issue ?
Posted from my blackberry so i don't know how this is going to format!

A flat pack will be exactly that, flat. There will be nothing welded together.
Not sure on any pricing but will know soon. Sending everything to the laser cutter now.

Thats very nice mate, I just use towels, an ammo box and 2x jackets for a front rest for my CZ, seems to work well.
But again, very good looking epice of kit.

I could probably make one of those in shop... I need to make a gun travel case too.
(To clarify) I go to a trades highschool, so I'll leave highschool as a journeyman welder.

Mitch they will just be mild steel and will be welded together. I''ll post some photos up at the end of the week of the finished product.
