I recently got hold of one of these that was set up to turn necks, its missing a part, the cam follower, the little flat metal piece shown in the link below at 8.45 or so, so am on the lookout for one, is it possible to make one from a piece of flat spring steel, if so, anyone got the dimensions of it please.

Have you asked the seller to check his shed?

I get 0.4mm thick. 6.3mm wide. 36.64mm long. 31.30 long on shorter side. It has a curved shape to fit under the bearing. The long side is at the back. The angle obviously being consistent with the shape of the cut out on the bit you turn to progress the neck turn. Maybe you could trim a feeler guage to fit.Camel wrote:Yep

G'day bloke, thanks for getting the measurements for me, will see how I go, think I have some old clock spring down in the shed, if I fail I spose next step would be to contact BRT and see if they can supply me with one. Thanks again.Mudgegonga wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 1:09 pmI get 0.4mm thick. 6.3mm wide. 36.64mm long. 31.30 long on shorter side. It has a curved shape to fit under the bearing.
