Every one of my target guns has the regular signature rings with the spherical inserts. I have not yet tried the XTR version as I have not needed anything more sturdy than what ive been using.

Thanks Rod,
Intrigues me with the ability to gain up to 40 MOA through the inserts - whether they would damage the scope tube?

Nope, as the inserts move inside the rings when you are setting the scope up, after tightening they hold on like shit to a blanket. :D

Exactly, the inserts are spherical, so they align themselves and don’t need any lapping.
