Just opened one of my Stamford gun cases.

The foam has turned into some form of non-Newtonian powder and goo.

What is the best replacement and where can I source it?

ive used the grey eggshell from clarke rubber, but it does the same thing [only quicker]
im going to use the harder sheet foam and cut it to fit the rifle, next time.

You can get a oil resistant egg shell foam that lasts for quite awhile. I have some that is at least 12 years old.
Cheers,
Trevor.

Now I just need to find a Clark Rubber within a reasonable distance.

Thanks.

Clark Rubber happily cut foam to fit your gun case, but as the sales assistant said "You'd be surprised how many come in here with rifles in the case". Note: They don't like that.
