I bought a couple of Zeiss scopes a few years ago when gun emporium had a sale. I got a 5-25 with standard plex cross hair and the only other one available was a 3-15 with a busy reticle. I bought it reluctantly as the price was too good to refuse.
It sat on my redundant 17m4 for a while gathering dust until I decided to give my 257wobbly some respect before giving up on it. That meant having Luke rectify the bedding job and hone the trigger and then I mounted the zeiss. It came out with us and downed a deer. All good.
Here is the class clown bit. We have a gong at 405. I just know the holdover for my 6/250 but guessed the wobbly would be similar.
I’m lining up the gong and thinking about the hold over and notice this busy reticle has numbers on it. One of them says 4.
Guess what happened next?
Yep I put that hash beside the 4 on the gong and BLAM. Three times in a row. Hmm so that’s what those numbers where for
