I have seen a couple of adds for them, and one fella on AHN has one mounted on his 4 wheeler. I guess my jury is still out on them, seems to be a bit of a strange way to carry a rifle strapped into a rest, I dont like anything to limit the access to the window, wouldnt trade my big iron window rest for one that is for sure. :D

Thanks Trev & Mark. I feel much better now & no longer unwanted  I haven't actually got one as yet but I must say I did like the idea of not having to put your rifle away somewhere every time you had to open a gate. Not knocking the big iron job either Mark.

I changed my big iron around a little Baz, it has a 90 degree elbow on the front now that the fore end rests on, and I built a bracket on the rear upright to hold the toe of the butt, the rifle stays out there all night. :D Ill get a photo today for you.

Hey Johnno , don't be too hard on ole mate Mark. He'll get the job done as promised I'm sure, but he'll probably direct email it to me as it may have "patent" attached to it
Ah , AHN had some very serious though about it.

No its called "the missus is away and I have heaps of shit to do", though there is the odd hour lost trying to get Mario to save Princess Peach from the evil Bowser.

I bought one a month or so ago. Have used it once and shot two foxes, not from the drivers seat though. I opened the door and crouched/lent on the bottom of the door frame. I won't use it that much in reality, only when I don't have a driver. I sold my Polaris buggy and needed something to go solo in the ute. It will get more use once lambing starts. Can't answer your POI question as I've only fired two shots over it.
If you do get one, you will be well advised to buy one of these swivel link thingos-
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Smartrest-Do ... SwlFdabaKI
It allows for a much broader range of movement. Also, they make two models of RackenRest. One for Toyota Landcruisers (short window) and cab chassis utes with a longer side/wind down window. Just ensure you order the one that suits your vehicle.
I've got a spare brand new RackenRest (short window/Toyota Landcruiser job) if someone wants to buy one or swap for a long window job.

Had a look at them at the deer expo. For a solo shooter ther look sensible. But almost like cheating. Unless they have a range of accessories to choose from it looks like a wide forend would havre trouble
