Garmin etrex 20

Post by Keith »

G'day guys,

I have been looking around for a gps and found a Garmin etrex 20 on gumtree, I was curious to see what your thoughts were on them?
I want one to Track where I have been and to be able to pin point locations.

Thanks.

Yeh I have had one for about 10 years, they are a very basic unit and unable to store many way points and tracks, but if you want something for peace of mind about not getting lost, they are a good thing. I stepped up and got a C60s or something like that so I could down load all my rabbit shooting maps with all burrows marked, dont think I will be needing those maps in the near future. :|

Could you use different sd cards? Like have one for different locations for better memory? I'd would be primarily used for not getting lost

I think that they have a permanent internal memory storage, dont think they use SD cards but I could be wrong on that point, I never bothered looking into it as I couldnt hook it up to my lap top. :D :D

Keith I have a gps. You can have it as long as you loan it back to me in the unlikely event I need it
