Kahles K624 6-24X56 with Milspec ??reticle

Post by barryb »

Looking for a bit of help / info here. I've had this scope for a few months now but not happy with the reticle. Before putting it back on the market was wondering if anyone knows of anybody in Aus who could change the reticle to a' proper one' like a plex , or as it used to be known a duplex like the old Loopys. Failing that any information on sending it back to Kahles , but that's not the preferred option.
Thanks , appreciate any advice.

I can't help you Barry but am very interested in your opinion on the scope, disregarding the reticle.

Never done it, but have heard that Kahles has very good customer service and do pretty good turn around. I know you said its not preferred, but I reckon they would be the mob I would send it to. :D

Kickinback - 50 years ago I bought a Kahles 8 power I think it was & it was as clear as. Put it on my Remington BDL 22.250 & even though I couldn't shoot for nuts I couldn't even guess at the number of foxes it accounted for. 50 years on I still can't shoot for nuts , but like my eyesight everything has it's day  but this larger Kahles is every bit as good in the clarity stakes & if I'm able to get the reticle changed it won't be going to used guns. I'm certainly no expert but I've had my share of the "goodies" as in Swarvoski , Zeiss , Nightforce, wait for it Missed , Loopys/Sightrons but I wouldn't shy away from the Kahles.
Camel & Mick762. Thanks for the imput, will end up going that way I think.

You're sitting on a goldmine there Barry. You'll get 3 conquests for that.
