so you didn't like it ......... I don't give a toss about the optics (within reason) I just want a scope that tracks for a .22rf out to 250-300y

While I think they are fantastic under the light I have never played with the turrets, what didnt you like Missed? To my eyes the optics are sharp from 6-18 no milkyness like I have had with vortex vipers when you crack up the magnification.

Not bad optics in the daylight feckin awful under the light better than the Vipers I had
Turrets felt mushy and you would need to check out there over all travel

Mine are fantastic in daylight and at night under light. Turrets feel fine.
Maybe you got a bad one?
Haven't checked it for tracking though so can't comment.

How would you know if it tracks precisely over 250-300 yards, surely at that distance with that projectile, too many other factors come into play ?

Even at 150 yards with a .22 rim fire, groups wouldn't be a 1 ragged hole would they?

I have one on my 22-250 and dial it from 100m to 500m and been repeatable. Haven't done it enough to test the long term reliability.

It is fun using the 22lr out to 300m, need about 54 moa from 50 to 300 with CCI Standard Velocity.
Ammunition consistency is the biggest hurdle. Tried some SK Match and they seem better but a bit pricey for plinking. Regularly get a flier with the CCI, you can tell just by the sound the velocity must vary. It is surprising the accuracy you can get out to 200, learning a lot about wind reading.
I'm only using a 3-9 Nikon efr. Does a good job but tempted to get higher mag like you are doing just for kicks.

Good fun while testing the CF and waiting for barrel to cool.
There is a good section on Rimfire Central site for Long Range rimfire.

the same way you do with a 7mm mag at 1600y .
