I saw a post on the ozfclass site. A guy (Andrew Smith) in Sydney tried to get a stock from Boyd's & was told their US state department is banning the export of rifle stocks at the moment.
I have sent off an email to West Custom stocks (USA) just to get some feedback. I was setting up to get one of their "LowRider" stocks. That may have to be put on the back burner.

I had a look on the State Department website and I couldn't find any mention of it. It may be well hidden though, it's a big website.

I tried to get a stock for my P14 Enfield . Boyd's made it for me and then 1 week before delivery , they told me their State department put the ban on .. As if my WW1 303 is a/ going into terrorists hands and 2/ no terrorist in his right mind would want to lug my full size WW1 .303 around
So .. its back to trying to find an Aussie stock maker ( Slee stocks cant help )

Stockade and CZ USA both stopped replying to my emails when they realised I was in Oz and CZ changed their online parts store to say they cant ship outside the US

Shane Clancy would know...
If we are after a good Laminate or wood stocks Geoff Slee does top ones in OZ.
If you are after a synthetic one check wild dog stocks out both these guys are Australian so there will be no problems there!!!

Problem is do they make one to fit CZ? dont think so. Was advised to call Corporal trading but will have to check out what sort of reputation they have first.
Shane is checking out whether he can make the cz fit an unletted McMillan that he can cut out, its a matter of if the depth is right to accomodate the depth of the action.

I may be wrong but often these sorts of bans dont impact on licenced dealers/gunsmiths just regular buyers off the street.
This may not be the case with this particular ban though

it shouldnt efeect dealers as long as the wholesalers keep bringing them in
