Cheers

Trev

There isnt enough crap black plastic there for it to be craptic, I mean tacticool. Its just a nice CZ in a nice stock with a sea lion mounted on the scope.

It looks like you're holding the rifle the wrong way around.

If you don't want the setup I'll happily take it off your hands. :D

That looks familiar except with mine the "weaver" style base is on the torch mount itself and I just install a ring upside down on the scope. Very easy to take the torch off and put on etc and can use cheapo rings.

Yes, can it be modified to increase power?

Well I have a "Thanks" to give to Fenring myself.

I've had great entertainment and inspiration reading his posts over a long period. His comments have always been generous with information and advise to all.
I never appreciated how well the hunting on foot with a light could be till he continued to post reports and pics week after week.
That Savage of his accounts for allot of varmints and it's played on my mind.

Over the last 5-6 years I've been tempted to get a HMR but resisted not being able to justify the $1000 outlay I expected and stuck with my .22 and shotty. Although I dearly wanted one with that classic thumbhole stock [LH] he's FINALLY motivated me to take the plunge.
Well at least he's got me to put my toe into the water. I opted for a used basic model Savage with a synthetic stock and regular barrel.
I'm looking forward to the challenge of the extra distance I can shoot to now rather than the .22 and shotgun ranges that I'm used to. A few of those foxes that won't commit to coming in watching from what was afar will now up the odds my way.

My wife thinks he's a bad influents though.

So in a work THANKYOU Fenring and keep up the your fantastic contributions.

Ah, cheers guys. I like contributing and helping folks out to enjoy their sport, and pass on any tips I think folks might find useful.

As for the mighty Savage BTVS - both of the rifles we use have now been paid for by our bounty money. A few more dozen scalps and the scopes will have been too. :D
