Looks like my son and I are going to get away the weekend after this one !!!

The Field Hunters Group are planning a weekend which will involve a bit of spotlighting ...I'm told.

My dilemma... do I get a Lightforce 'Walkabout' which is hand-held only; or a Lightforce 'Nighthunter' which I can use as handheld (with an optional handle) or rifle mounted ???? just over $100 diffence between them.

Your thoughts and/or personal experiences.....

Ive got one my my sparky mate made up for me it's a normal roof/scope mountable one with a ciggy light attachment and a small NiCad battery very handy if you go out by yourself you can screw on the gun and have both hands to shoot with. Unless you only hunt in pairs id go with the hands free option or you go with a good led torch like a wolfeyes and save heaps of weight and get better brighter light for around the same money

Do yourself a favour and buy a Wolfeyes.James bought a defender 111 and we gave it a run last night awesome bit of Kit imo.We could easily see bunny eyeshine at 100m (as well as the whole rabbit).Trevort also has a Wolf eyes Sealion which is more spotlight than torch bloody awesome.

are you walking about or shooting from a vehicle. Answer that question and then there aint anymore to talk about!

yes, its good, but not as good as your big ass spotlight (which I'll be getting one of soon). Now we went out about a fortnight ago. This time the farmer was driving and he bogged the ute. He wouldnt give up tho, the 3 k walk back was still spotlighting with the sea lion. He knew exactly where the foxes were. the sea lion was up for it but the 6/250 was built for firing off a bipod ( doesnt it piss you off when people say bipods. there is only one of them) and the foxes were there but I couldnt get a steady shot!!
