At the prices they are showing should be able to match what you quoted.

Remind me why Ffp is a good thing. I know there is one where the reticle gets bigger when you dial up the magnification which would be bad. Can’t remember if it’s first or second.

What do you think the wait would be Sean

Don't know why that would be bad as the target gets bigger at the same rate .......

Gday Trev
I've owned 2 stacs and 2 s111 ,s save your money and buy the nsx
The s111 is a reliable scope but not a nightforce when it comes to construction the stac ,s both went back with problems and there warranty was not worth the paper it was printed on

Oops. Mark I just asked Sean to order one of the new stacs. It’s about 350 more so it’s gotta be a lot better

Sean I’m happy to be the guinea pig. I’ve looked through two stacs and maybe I’m not fussy enough but they looked ok to me and they certainly work. I was more interested in trying to find out what you get by paying more than double to get an s111.

So order away. How long before it gets here

I should add that the one that filled with moisture they refused to repair as they said I had dropped it because the ocular was bent 1 mm

There was not a mark on this scope other than general usage
I told herrons send it back to me and I’ll cut it up with a grinder and post up what I think of your warranty
If I had dropped it I would admit it no questions asked , I use my gear but don’t abuse it I told him

Just as well magnum sports came to the rescue and gave me my money back which I bought an s111 off them with
Andrew from magnum could see the scope had not been dropped clearly
I no longer run a sightron now

I remember you posting about this. I forgot about it and forgot it was sightron. To be fair, I know many who have used them and are happy

I have too many SIII's to remember how many of them there are in the safe but at a guess I would say 15-20 and I have a 3.5-17.5x56 S-Tac.

Optically there is a difference between the S-Tac and the SIII but both have tracked well for me. At the missathon I went to I was using the S-Tac on my 223 to shoot rocks at over 1200y with Glenn and it never missed a beat on dial up and back. The only issue I have with it is the size of it, its bigger than 6-24 and 8-32 SIII and they only make the MOA reticle in an illuminated model which i have never used.

I am keen to have crack at a 3-16x42 S-Tac with moa retilce, I want more than a 3.5-10 and less than a 6-24 so there is no SIII for me to go with. I'm building another short barrel rifle and the idea of a smaller scope is pulling me to a 3-16 S-Tac or another 3.5-10 SIII.
