I have used the base model garmin .Not very user friendly and batteries only lasted about one day .You wont get lost with one though.

I have the Garmin GPS60, 2 AAs wil last 30 hours, got a car adapter for $19, and cant recommend it enough. Only paid $320 6 months ago. It does everything I want it to, mark out warrens, tracks and get me out of the thick stuff.
