Falcon Menace Scopes?
Looking through a few different sites, eventually i came up with this site and looked through the scopes.
http://www.nzhunter.com/index.php?main_ ... 0sgsrtvkr5
Falcon Menace, they bit of a dodgy cheapo scope, or do they go alright? anyone know of any reviews?
I was also looking at the mueller scope's on there which was on kjd's old .222.
Thanks

If you wanna read about falcon scopes go onto Snipercentral.com they love them over there depending on the application they seem to work for target work but havent seen any reviews on twilight or spotlighting performance

Re: Falcon Menace Scopes?
I have a 4-14 on my .22 - for the money it goes ok - i'm not that confident on the adjustments though, heaps of talk on snipershide also if you've got some time to spare

Re: Falcon Menace Scopes?
For a similar price to that your could get a Bushnell 4200 or Nikon Monarch from theopticzone.com, if you push the budget a little further bushnell 6500 or Leupold VX3.
Looking at the site you posted they are not cheap crap, but they could be crap.

Re: Falcon Menace Scopes?
I was looking at a leupold 6.5-20x50 long range varminter and at hpgs he told me they go for 1565 or something around that if i want to get target turrets.
For that i could get a zeiss same magnification, i would go hands down with the zeiss.
Also looking at the 4200 6-24x50 bushnell or the Nikon mornach's, they come with sunshade and 2 sets of turrets.
I also noticed weaver have a nice 5-20x50 tactical for not too expensive, i read a review on sniper central about the 4200 not having much moa,
Does anyone here on av that use a 4200 use a cant rail?
How much moa do they have left once they sight in for 150 yards?
Thanks

Re: Falcon Menace Scopes?
Vx3 from TOZ is around $900 usd and zeiss around $1060 would Be about $400 cheaper buying here, the 6-24x50 zeiss is the one I'm looking at for 6br when it is finished.
Also have look at sightron s3 about $100-150 cheaper than the vx3 and are getting great reviews from all over

Re: Falcon Menace Scopes?
It seems this is the story with the Falcon's... well, if they are the only scope you can afford then they are good... if you can afford better, dont waste your time.
How much do you think you can get for bugger all money?
Cheers

Re: Falcon Menace Scopes?
Don't know much about the falcons, except for what Google tells me. I've just bought a Sightron SII 36x42 BR D for my 22 benchrest and while I haven't used it much yet, so far it seems pretty good. I hadn't heard much about them, but after they were mentiond by 3 separate people as well as getting some solid write ups online I decided what the hell and took a punt. so far it seems to be paying off. fingers crossed.

Re: Falcon Menace Scopes?
Yeah forgot to say also looking at the SII i think, its a 6-24 by memory.
I have a crap load of bookmarks on my computer off all guns, scopes and everything you can think of that i will look into buying.
Buying scopes from usedguns would be a good idea, right?
Considering hopefully if the person has common sense they should keep a decent scope in good tack?
Thanks

Re: Falcon Menace Scopes?
The good scopes on usedguns tend to go for the same money as new at TOZ, second hand verses imported, your choice
A cheep scope that wont hold zero or wont track is very frustrating and wastes a lot of ammo.

Re: Falcon Menace Scopes?
Dan I have a 6-24x50 Bushnell 4200 and I find it more than adequate.
I also have a Burris Black Diamond in the same power range it is not as good as the Bushnell in the top powers but it still is a
good scope.I have a Sightron S!! Bigsky 4-12x42 that impresses me a lot and the scope to go on the 20 Vartarg will be a 6-24 S11 Bigsky(Fingers Crossed).

Re: Falcon Menace Scopes?
sighted in the Sightron the other night. looks to be proving a good investment. was punching 10Xs without an issue. heading down to MISC tomorrow to see its performance at 50m.
