Over the past couple of months on this site ive seen members tell
of great sales in optics in the USA and then say that new government policy in the USA has changed to refusal in dealing offshore.
WHY USA?????? alot of people seem to have an belief that the USA is the only supplier of scopes in the world, sure they have the biggest market but their not the only market out there! if the USA dont want to deal with offshore sales well we can tell them to stick it! we are the ones with the money to spend not them, there are other markets besides the USA . try Canada, NZ, UK, Europe, Asia, Russia, south america just to name a few.

im sure that if look hard enough you will find other countries that speak english and there NOT governed byUSA policy and their exchange rate is cheaper than ours, use google to find them!if not the USA then go Canada there just over the border and again there not governed buy USA policy, but they are part of the commonwealth and they speak english too!!! and alot of their products come from the USA without the Bullshit from USA.

so to sum it all up, if the usa wont deal with the rest of the world,
then tell them to Stick it where it fits! with our wallets.

your missing my point which is " the world doesn't revolve around the mighty USA" in other words why buy USA direct @ USA prices
when you can for example buy a USA brand scope in New Zealand at New Zealand prices which when coverted to AUD$ is cheaper than dealing local.

I agree ... just not as easy to deal with. My local shop is importing shotshells from Europe at substantial savings compared to sourcing them from local distributors under a famous US brand name ... who oddly enough get them from the same European factory!

Plenty of places in the US will ship you a scope, I will only ever purchase a scope from the states unless a real bargain pops up here at home. It also obviously helps if you have friends or family living in or traveling to the states.

i have not had problem getting scopes,projectiles,stocks out of the US just have to do your homework and work through the loop holes

But wowww, that pommy place has prices nearly as much as our own shops. I can buy two Bushnells 4200 scopes from TOZ for the price of one from Microglobe.

Only reason we are buying scopes from the US is the savings we make, oh and the quick service. I can get a scope from the US quicker than I can from Australia lol

Did you see the Choice magazines investigation into Microsoft and Adobes pricing in Australia, our prices are nearly double what the other countries pay. They then mentioned a couple of other major software companies that have their products in Australia for only a few % in price difference. I ordered ten copies of 7 Ultimate from the states, delivered to the door including all costs was $2428 Aussie dollars. Cheapest quote we got from any Australian company was Scorptec computers and they want $3980.

Makes you laugh hey

But at least now the ACCC is looking into the Microsoft thing here in Aust, but that will be like petrol prices on Long weekends and public holidays. An anomaly that cant be explained lol.

OEM's can only be legally sold by a OEM System builder when sold as a complete system or a certain level of hardware.

Grimo, you can had or change your hardware as many times as you like with all Microsoft applications. What you have is a limit on the number of times you can install and use your product key. Vista has a 6 installation limit, so as soon as you try and register online the 7th time it will fail. But that still doesnt stop you from registering again, you just have to call 1800 and get another product key. You are not tied to the initial machine either, you can install it on 30 different machines, providing it is installed on only one machine at a time.

Who would want to upgrade though? Thats a recipe for disaster it never works 100%. Support eh windows aint that hard to fix and if Trev is buying 10 copies then he probably has an IT guy that does all that stuff anyway.
New Egg will let you buy them with a minor piece of hardware (ram) if that.
