lense cleaning?

Post by morten »

I need to clean off what appears to be a very fine paint mist over spray on a scope lens .
Can someone recomend how to do this safely without damaging the lense coating.

Id try a lens pen, Allen make a cheap but good one for around $20. Or you could drop Antony from vortex a line and ask him.

Thanks Knackers, I just did the lenses of my NXS 12 - 42 AND NOW THEY ARE ALL SCRATCHED. WHAT OIL WAS I SUPPOSED TO USE. I used Valvoline, I bet I should have used Mobil 1.

Talking about vaseline, twenty years ago there was a spate of vaselining's going on in the work car park. Many times you would go to get in the car and the door handle had vaseline smeared under it , shit that makes it hard to open and everything else a bloody mess. their other favorite was to smear the crap along the edge of your wiper blades  real funny
