I've been using my old ebay digital scales successfully for a couple of years now without any dramas. I managed to jag that set for 25 bux delivered when the usual price was around $35. I was a bit sceptical of how they would perform for the price but when another mate showed up with an identical set (except the colour) he purchased from QGE for $125 I felt a little bit better. This set has been great until recently when trying to develop subsonic loads for my 6.5. While their accuracy of 0.2 grain is fine for my usual reloads involving 80-120gns of powder .2 just does not cut it when treading the fine line between sub and supersonic velocities.
So I had another look on poxbay to see what was available with a higher resolution and found several sets that measure down to .001 gram. These ones ended up costing $37 landed and so far seem very bloody good. The supplied pan is too small for anything other than my sub loads but I have already found another one perfect for the job in my pile of shooting junk.
To check their accuracy and consistency I dug out my RCBS 505's to do some comparisons. Well that was a joke...... the RCBS jobs are not even in the race!
Here's a pik of these scales weighing one kernel of 2209 powder.
They will measure up to a max of around 150gns which is fine for my purposes.
Time will tell how they go but so far they seem very nice.
Cheers Brett

Very nice mate, got a link to these scales on egay?
Re: New Egay scales
This is not a direct link to the actual scales but to most of the .001 gram scales they have.Brad Y wrote:Very nice mate, got a link to these scales on egay?
