Only one I have had come back for warranty was a SIII, sent it back to Herron and they sent it on to sightron who fixed it. Minute piece of debris inside the scope that was visible and moving about.
I have half a dozen of the SI on rifles, most of my levers wear their older 3-9x32 rimfire scope including my 45/70 with more than 1000rds. For a truely budget scope they are fantastic, the VX freedom might be their equal but havent used the one I have enough yet to make a fair comparison.
TYB has a S-Tac 4-20 moa2 on his creedmore, havent done enough to give a in depth report on it but tracking appears good and repeatbale.
The 4-20 range seems like the perfect compromise scope, low enough bottom end to be used on a varmint or dual purpose rifle for whistling or even a deer rifle and enough top end to really stretch thing out.
The advantage of the FFP reticle is it stays the same in relation to the target regardless of magnification. If the hash marks are 2 moa they are 2moa regardless of what power the scope is dialled to.

The disadvantage is you have a tiny reticle on min power and if your silly enough to have one wiht all the lines on them its a little mess in your reticle.

You also have a ridiculously large reticle that obscures the entire target at 20 ppc ranges when on higher magnification that is required in order to see the small critters in the first place
