Thanks for your help mate. I just dropped them off and picked up a bushnell 3500 to get me out of trouble next week.
Horsley park were really helpful. He said he was going to ring the rep now so I'm not sure if i should give them a call as well.
He also said he hadnt had any z3s back so either im imaging it or i must be the unluckiest bastard around to get 2 of them. Either way, its not right on a scope of that price.

Had the same problem years ago with two 4-12 x 50 .They both lasted a week and I moved them on. Nothing wrong with I was told. The Swaro Z3-5 stuff is so over rated very average. Just look how many show up on used guns
