You fellas better start looking at the Manners Tactical stock.. Value for money very good..

Fairly new to the market... make a quality product, and I am going to use one on my next build.

Either a 7mm/270WSM or a fast twist 223.

Wilddog tactical, nearly $1000AUS, Manners fully adjustable, $595US... choice for me is easy.

Then you add the Badger bottom metal to take the Accuracy International magzines, another $500AUS...

Cheers

$765US for a McMillan A5 with adjustable cheek piece and LOP....

Manners MCS-T2A $595US with adjustable cheek piece (Terry Cross hardware too which is top notch) and LOP. This stocks forend is 2.4" (good for varminting).

I am sold on this stock... must decide on 223 or 7mm/270WSM..

Better look at getting the Badger bottom metal

Manners website.... http://www.mannersstocks.com/Tactical.html

no adjustable cheekpiece but adjustable lop. He says if you order to your specs he cant get it any faster but he sells $50US cheaper than McMillan sells to you.

I like the look of that Manners stuff; a wider forend might be better...

Ah yes.... you would have to get it around wholesale to make it worth while against the A5 and Manners.

I see the Wilddog has the Badger bottom metal... but you already have it, but there is another $500AUS!

I am waiting for a email from Manners.. and then I will be going from there!

MCS-T2A for me!

give us a good detailed write up on your wild dog stock after you get it and test it. I have no experience with them. They feel solid enough (ones I have handled in Elk's) but the best report I have heard is "they are ok" and have read a post on AHN saying they were crap (standard stocks, not tactical)

I know their customer service is zero, I asked Elks if the did a CZ 527, he checked the list and said "no" I said i would ring and ask. The sales guy says "if you get thru ask if they will return the call I made a week ago"

I did, he said he might do up a 527 inletted stock as a custom order. He would investigate and get back to me. He didnt, they didnt reply to the 2 emails either.

If I can get top class service from foreigners i would expect at least passable service from a fello Aussie.

thats the H-S Precision Trigger Guard and Detachable Magazine Assembly in the photo, i grabbed it off the net to show how it looked with a mag, the badger system is better.

will be next year by the time i've assembled all the parts but i know someone who already has three and he thinks they leave mcmillan in the shade. nice to have some aussie content in a build as well instead of all yank bits
