Dealing With Badlands/Nioa

Post by Space Cadet »

G'day fellas,

A couple moths back I bought a Badlands 4500 pack from a bloke in QLD for the backpack Sambar hunting missions that I've started doing.
It handled its first trip beautifully until it pulled a cinch strap out of it's threads when being yanked tight on a 50kg payload just a couple hundred metres from the cars on the way out. (Lucky it wasn't at the start of the 15km walk!)

Being a bit worried about dropping so much cash on a pack only to have it break, I called up their Australian distributors (Nioa) to ask how I go about claiming Badlands' lifetime warranty. I was told to take it to my LGS and they would send it off for inspection.

Well 5 weeks passed last Thursday and I hadn't heard anything, so I called up Nioa and the bloke I spoke to was genuinely concerned that it hadn't been sorted out yet, and he said he'd chase it up that arvo and let me know what's happening. He gave me a buzz on the way home from work that day and said that it it would be sorted by the following day.

Well today I got the call from the LGS on my way home from NSW saying that it was in, and when I picked it up I was stoked to see it was a brand new pack.

I must admit, even with the long turn around I was super impressed with the 'no questions asked' warranty, and how simple the process was given that it's $600ish worth of pack. Definitely a big cudos to the blokes at Nioa and Badlands, and I'd recommend badlands to anyone not only for the quality of their products but their warranty is second to none.

Very impressive stuff.

Just thought I'd share in case anyone is considering buying a Badlands pack and wondering if their warranty was all they talk it up to be.

Cheers boys.

Good post young fella, all too often you hear lots of bad stories about distributers and some of their products and lack of back up. Nice to see some positive news. Well done.

Yep, what Camel said. I'm a great believer in telling people about good service. I had a warranty claim against Lee that went well, and it's a good feeling when a manufacturer does the right thing by you. It also breeds loyalty to a product when you trust the people making and selling it.

Thanks for letting us know of a good outcome.

cheers, curan

Good post Spacecadet, like others have said, good service should be talked about, and yes a bit of loyalty grows when your treated well. Nioa has copped a bit of a flogging over the years so nice to hear a positive post.

G"day All,
That does not surprise me with Nioa, they are here to lead the firearms distribution in Australia and will bend over backwards to get it right.!!
Well done Nioa and great to see the public writing a great review for them.
