Hi guys, I have a new .22 on the way and would like your recommendation on a scope. My wants include an adjustable objective (or side adjustable), BDC reticle and ideally 3-9x40 size.
What do you reckon ?

I'd suggest a Nikon Prostaff with the EFR (extended focal range). I am very impressed with the quality vs price. Shot a 10 round group this week. 9 of 10 touching with one minor flyer shot.
The only thing it doesn't have is BDC, but there may be a model with that.

Yeah it does have the bdc but not the ao. They are set at 50yds plus. What's yours like at say 25 yards ?

Anything I can hit at 50m is good at 25m easy. I believe I shot at just on 10m the other week and didn't have a problem aiming at or hitting it accurately.

This isnt for a rifle I would probably go for something with a long eye relief. You almost need a mil dot reticle in a red dot scope dont you?

Re: 22lr scope recommendations
Yeah ok Brad's got me. It's for a Ruger Charger, which opens up a broader question about rifle scope vs pistol scope on a charger. The guys in the club are using them across a supported forearm with rifle scopes and are getting good scores so that's why I want to try a rifle scope first. If it doesn't work I'll come back and ask about pistol scopes...
The Nikon is the current front runner although I'd prefer something with focus capability to 25mtrs.
I'll look at the sightron closer Missed.
