Looking at getting a Harris bipod for my Ruger Hawkeye 204, and possibly my CZ .22lr. Shooting prone, bench and off the roof or bonnet of vehicle.
What size would you get? features? model?
(a bipod for each by the way, not one for both).
Cheers & thanks.
What size/type bipod ???

Re: What size/type bipod ???
Swivel type harris is way better than the rigid one
I have three harris bipods, two 6"-9" (one rigid one swivel) and a swivel 9"-13"
for shooting off the bonnet I prefer the swivel 6"-9" model, same for off the bench (but ridgid is better for this type of shooting) as I can rest my hand under the base of the stock for control.
Shooting prone I prefer the 9"-13" model but that is because it suits my size/body shape.
I cant comment on any of the other models

BR model (6-9") or 8-12" for shooting from a bench or across the bonnet. You might want a longer one for going prone, depends on the terrain.
The Swivel Series is nice as well, saves mucking around with the length of the legs too much in the field.

G'day All,
Harris bipod LMS model (swivel, 9"-12" notched legs) with sinclair international sourced KWM pod lock for quick swivel adjustments = perfection!

I've got a 6-9" Swivel Harris.
I've also got a 'mini' pod-loc attached which I import regularly and have in stock in various types and sizes.
Please see attached price-list.

Yeap, the pod-locs I have in stock currently will only attach to a Harris..But I can get some locks that will attached to harris 'copys' such as cadwells, remington etc type bipods.
Depending on which one you want mate, the price-list is in the post above..
Cheers

I've got two Harris's, a fairly new (5 years old) 6"-9" and an old skinny (have to be twenty years old at least) 9"-14"?16"? The old one has seen better days, but functions as tight and perfect as the new one.

Re: What size/type bipod ???
Hi mate,
These pod-locs will only work for the swivel type one's..so the one's with the little knurled knob thing.. The pod-locs just give leverage to swivel or not swivel..
Take a look at both ya bipods..I'd imagine the 6-9 to have it if its swivel..don't know bout the old one..
Cheers
