Also held one in a gunshop. Fitted to a .204 howa. Was OK and the ar style pistol grip really suited me but the price the shop wanted was ridiculous and I hated the scope. There is another style out now that is closer to a thumbhole. They sort of look a little too tacticool for my liking.

i am after one of these for the howa 308.
i think with the pistol grip it will be more comfortable to hold and use.
the knoxx/axiom stock i looked at awhile ago said it had built in recoil reduction tubes.i dont know it the axiom has the same setup though.
im not really into the tacticool look but the grip and function should be more suited to my needs.
horsley park did have them but they arent showing on their web site any more
my old dad put a grip like that on his .22.i found it to be extremely comfortable and made the butt automatically pull tighter into the shoulder,aswell as the scope coming more easily to the eye.

Geez they are ugly though! Hate to carry one far through the bush - bits hanging out everywhere.
