trigger adjustment on bsa meteor

hi guys can you adjust the trigger pull on a bsa meteor ,i hope so as mine feels very excessive also my rifle was recently clocked at 694 fps is this good?one last thing my rifle is very noisy is this also normal ? and it is a 177 any help would be appreciated

The trigger on the old BSA are not the best and the one on my BSA meteor was exactly like the one you mention on yours, unfortunately I would say thats about as good as they get.
640fps sounds about the mark for an old BSA, thay are noisy in the spring.
A tune from lewis will help but I would say money spent on an upgrade would be a wiser choice.

It sounds like a typical clapped Meteor.
The trigger is nothing magic but yours may be worse if the trigger spring is broken.
It's noisy because it probably is not sealing.

Piston ring 10
Piston buffer 15
Mainspring 40
Trigger spring 5 if needed
Labour/lubricants/test $45
Other things may be found upon disassembly.
