What can you guys in the know tell me about these air rifles?
Are they any good? Any good on Game?

I know that the main target is going to be Cane Toads  but if a Hare accidently jumped in front of it at say around 20-40 feet, would I be be cruel if my finger did happen to squeeze on off?

Thanks fellas!

From my limited experience with Hatsan (Hatstand?) air rifles, I would save my pocket money and buy something better. I have only had experience with one Hatstand and I hope that it will be my last!
Have a chat with Lewis and see what he has in his goodies cupboard.
Dennis.

Well.....no.
My recommendations in new ones are:-
Under $500,I like Norica.
Over $500,the Beeman R9 @$695 and Beeman R1@$995.
I have nice preowned quality airguns too.Quite a few under $500.

Luke,
One Word, RUBBISH.
It is a massive gun that I found really inaccurate and very LOUD, it was nearly as loud as my 22 rimfire. My friend and I both bought one and took it to the range, we drove back to the dealer and sold it back to him at a loss. I then bought a Gamo Shadow 640 which was not as accurate or powerful as I needed. I was disappointed but at least my son will have something when he gets a bit older. After a bit of research I found this Forum and ‘Lewis the legend’. I ended up with a tuned R9 .20 that I love and can’t rate highly enough. All I can say is don’t do it. The R9 is extremely accurate, quite, beautifully finished and a real solid air rifle. My only problem is the Minah birds are onto it and I have to find ways to encourage them into the yard…..

PS. Whatever you decide get it from Lewis, you won't be disappointed with he service.

Stick with Lewis and his recommendations. You won't go wrong.
Shot a new .177 Remington today, five shots handed it back and wished the owner all the very best. Not my cup of tea.
I can't fault my R9 or my R10 both are brilliant, as are NH's toys. All from Lewis

Yeah, gotta love them .20cals.!!!
Sounds like you went the same as most of us do Renno, and then finally find out about Lewis by word of mouth and the rest is History.
Regards

Renno,

FWIW, my wife and I both have R9s in .20 with Lewis tunes, and we reach for them as much as for the PCPs.
